CDL Stage 2 Week 2 In Review- Toronto Home Series

Match Recap:

The first week of Stage 2 saw an unexpected from London Royal Ravens and Seattle Surge. The former got their first win on the board in an emphatic 3-0 victory against LA Guerrillas, meanwhile the latter were just one Search and Destroy round away from going undefeated on the weekend. This resurgence from the lower echelon of teams will throw a spanner in the works, as many teams who expected a free win will now need to take these games more seriously.

For the Tier 1 teams, it was business as usual. Atlanta Faze brushed aside Clayster’s Subliners with ease, and Optic managed to overcome Paris Legion, aided by their miraculous 3 versus 10 clutch in Control. Week 1 will give Dallas Empire plenty to ponder on though, as the reigning World Champions could only defeat Seattle Surge 3-2 with the final match going to Round 11.

Player To Watch:
Standy- Minnesota Rokkr

Minnesota Rokkr made a bold decision to bench MajorManiak, and Standy will be on the starting roster until further notice. We have noticed that rookies have had impressive debuts as far as Fantasy points are concerned, Standy will have his work cut out for him as he will have to take down Atlanta Faze and Dallas Empire.

Match Of The Week:
Atlanta FaZe vs LA Thieves

Faze are still undefeated in the 2021 season so far, but if there is any team that can give them a good fight, it’s LA Thieves. Nadeshot’s team decided to make a roster change for Week 2, with Temp making way for Venom. Many believe this will be the spark to get the Thieves playing like a Championship winning roster. Is this where Faze suffer their first loss?
